Welcome to the Atlanta Rabbits Amateur Radio Club website!

The Atlanta Rabbits Amateur Radio Club was founded in the summer of 2015 to encourage and improve the amateur service by educating members in both the communication and technical phases of the radio art.

The first step in becoming part of this group is to become a licensed amateur radio operator.  The easiest way to prepare for the technician exam is by using the flash cards at https://hamstudy.org.  Once the license is obtained, a whole new world of exciting radio is opened up!

Hop on to the Rabbit Repeater!

147.220MHz (+) 100Hz Tone
Echolink Node #731887 KA5AHS-R

The Rabbit Repeater - KA5AHS - is an open repeater, so feel free to join us!

Tthe Rabbit Repeater is a Kenwood TKR-750, a 4-cavity Sinclair Duplexer, and a Ringo Ranger antenna mounted about 65' above ground level on a Rohn 25 tower about 7 miles west of Atlanta, Texas.

The controller is an Raspberry Pi 2 Single-Board Computer (SBC) that is interfaced to the repeater radio.  The repeater runs SVXLink Repeater Controller Software with EchoLink built in.

Future plans include erecting a tower in the city limits of Atlanta and constructing a permanent structure to house the repeater and duplexer.
